Is Tricomin worth the price? I have been using it for a few months now and I don't really have an itchy scalp problem. Does anyone think it does any good I mean this stuff is expensive like $45 a bottle. Anyone know the cheapest place for it?

I recommend getting Folligen instead. Folligen is really cheap and the bottle will last you probably about 3-4 months depending on how often you apply it. Folligen uses different copper peptides than Tricomin but they are probably just as effective if not more so. Also, Folligen is made by Dr. Loren Pickhart who created the copper peptides currently used by Tricomin.

I think most people agree that copper peptides create a healthy environment for your hair follicles but they probably dont do all that much to stop hairloss when used alone.

I second using folligen in place of tricomin.

In my experience folligen works well with minoxidil for regrowing hair - certainly better than minoxidil alone. Just be sure to apply the products about 10-15 minutes apart or you'll stain your head green.

You can order folligen spray on this site or at folica.com for under $30 for a 3-4 month supply of the spray.

Prox-n is, in my opinion, a very good bet for hair regrowth/ maintenance though.

Apparently you can dilute Folligen with distilled water by as much as 50% without reducing it's effectiveness by that same amount.

This is obviously the most cost effective route for a topical Cu Peptide.

don't mix minoxidil and folligen even after sometime. it will turn into a bright green if you do so.

i have two dropper which i use for folligen and minoxidil. once i use the wrong dropper for folligen and boom... i have green liquid instead of blue.

What makes you think that wouldn't drop the effectiveness?

I didn't say it wouldn't drop the effectiveness, I said that apparently you can dilute..........and the effectiveness wouldn't be reduced by the same amount. I.e. a 50% reduction. I dunno, maybe I'm mistaken, that's why I used "apparently".

Why do you think it apparently wouldn't reduce the effectiveness by the same amount?

Because I thought that I read this on here. Why else?

Couldn't you simply just state one way or the other if you know?

I've never heard such a claim before, prior to this, and I can't imagine why that would be the case. That's why I was interested in why you said that.

What I believe you're confusing it with is the fact that Folligen is pretty strong stuff, and sometimes people get a bit of a sting from applying it at full strength to the scalp. To take care of that problem, even Pickart has suggested diluting it 50/50 with water and applying it that way. That doesn't mean that it's just as effective when diluted with water, just that it's an ok method to use to reduce the sting/pain. That's all.

Bryan,
you are the Yin to everyone's Yang. The balance of the forum.

That's right! Maybe I dreamed up that I read something like that or perhaps Bryan missed that thread where someone suggested that, but he kept danglin the correct and wouldn't tell me!! :)

I guess it's NOT like finasteride where the response curve flattens, my bad!
