Tricomin patented the copper formula originally as a first-aid type drug for healing wounds. When they tested it on animals they discovered that it regrew hair. It supposedly works similar to minoxidil, but the company did not have enough money to undergo the testing to meet FDA approval.
Of what I understand, the copper molecules stimulate the collagen & protein in your hair follicles and sort of act as a cell regenerator. Tricomin still owns the patent and they're the only ones you can get it from, but they legally have to sell it as a cosmetic and can't claim it regrows hair.
So in short, yes, it probably grows vellous hairs just like Rogaine.
Does anyone here know if it causes a shed?
