Trichophytic donor closure (FUT)

Im talking to a doctor about going ahead with a hair transplant and I'd like to go for the FUE mainly because I dont want the scar on the back of my head, I will need about 1500 grafts.

But he has been going on about all the advantages of FUT and mentioned something about trichophytic donor closure, he says that the scar will barely/wont be noticeable if I shave my head to a number 2 because of the new trichophytic donor closure technique they use now

How true is this and also has FUT come so far along that it rivals the FUE now?

Concerning the trich closure, you may get hair growing through the scar, which is the main selling point of the tricho procedure, but that's not guaranteed...I had the tricho done and I have only a small amount of hairs growing through it, although this was explained to me as a possibility by my Doctor.

Dudemon, I can buzz my back down to a grade 4, without the scar showing, possibly a 3, but I haven't tried going that low yet...but I think that's generally the lowest you could go in most cases.

Who you thinking of using Spaade?
