Travelling with minoxidil

Last airport I used allowed a ziplock bag sized plastic container for toiletries, liquids, etc. I stashed it in my backpack and carried it on to the plane without an issue. I think airports have different guidelines about liquids. Most are more strict about what's in your carry-on than in your check-in bag.
Now, coming back, I goofed and threw everything into my backpack, so the bag checker pulled it all out and asked what I would like to keep (she offered me a plastic bag), embaressing the sh*t out of me since it included a can of Rogaine foam and a can of Toppik. And it didn't help that I reached to put it in the bag quickly and she got all defensive about me touching the stuff. That was an awful 45 seconds.

The hell is their issue anyway about cans and whatnot. Yeah we're going to use shaving cream bottles and lysol as explosives.
Anyway, since it's rogaine/minoxidil, it's a topical drug, hence a drug, so they have to let you go through it. They can't hold back treatment just because it's in the form of a bottle (IMO at least) if they're unflexible dicks, just put it in the bags you aren't carrying with you on the plane. My 3 month supply of rogaine got on the plane, w00t w00t!
Although I use minoxidil now because it's half the price.
