Tracking your hair loss?

Do any of you see a hair loss consultant who tracks your hair loss periodically or maps out the areas of minaturisation?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people in the UK as I'd like to know where i could get this done. I just want to know for sure what stage my hair loss is at and what actually is minaturisation and what is just a normal mauture hairline/crown etc. Preferably from someone I can trust who isn't going to say it's worse just to try and sell a product.

So has nobody had a doctor look for 'minaturisation' of their hair follicles?

Ok, obviously not - but how does anyone know for sure if their hair los is getting worse or improving? That the thing with hair loss - it ****s with your head because one day it can look better than others for no apparent reason. I just assumed people would see a doctor or hair consultant they could trust who told them where the miniaturisation was.
