Toxin Screening With Regards To Hair Loss

Has anyone done toxin/toxicant screening to see if their hair loss could be related to toxicity from things like mercury, manganese, carbon disulfide, MPTP or carbon monoxide?

If you have, how did you have it checked? Provoked/non-provoked urine screen? Hair testing?

If it follows the Horseshoe pattern, why even bother ?...
In case of diffuse, this can be useful, of course if you also suffer from other symptoms of toxic poisoning

Hint : They are legion (symptoms...including death)
