What do they contain? Aren't there any toxic substances? Do you get allergies? Thanks!

Isopropanol is damn toxic. And a hair system wearer is exposed to it like 24/7 then, right?

Most, if not all, hairpiece adhesives are made with medical-grade adhesives. There is no way to anticipate who may be allergic to any specific product. An allergy does not imply toxicity.

The seller of Ultra Hold was involved in a lawsuit several years ago after a competitor claimed that it was toxic/harmful. An independent lab conducted extensive tests on Ultra Hold in 2007 and found that it did not present a health risk.

But what's in those medical grade adhesives? I hear the word "medical-grade" all the time, when talking to people of that field, but they don't want to go into more detail :(.

I would not be too surprised to learn that "medical grade adhesive" is another catchy euphemism for refined carpet glue. :) It's not what you say that is worth much, only how you say it or rather pitch it, in the case of most billion dollar industries these days.

They are all potential irritants.

I don't care about obvious allergy and skin irritation, but about the chronic systemic effects which are difficult to detect yourself.
