Hello.
I'm 22 years old, and I've been reading around for 1 month now.

I'm a diffuse thinner, and i've been using Nizoral shampoo for more than 1 year now, due to seborrheic dermatitis.
I'm not sure whether my hair loss is genetic, or due to the use of this shampoo. Anyway, I've stopped using it, since I recently noticed that my hair sheds more in the shower and after it, when i use a ketoconazole shampoo.

So, recently I've started taking a vitamin supplement, and using Aminexil SP94 from Dercos.
I have to wait 6 weeks before evaluating the results, but I'm very skeptical.

Therefore, I'm considering treatments for my hair loss problem.
At the moment I'm no interested in regrowth.

So, the natural choice would be Finasteride. Except that I've read enough to be scared about the effects of messing with hormones.
So putting that aside, I started thinking about a topical that could help me in the long-term:
1. Revivogen
2. topical spironolactone
3. Fluridil

It seems like Revivogen is a hit or miss. I read Amsch disappointing story.
About the topical spironolactone, I read that u should only apply it in small areas, as it can be systemically absorbed. Is this true? Dr. Lee claims that "applied topically spironolactone does not have systemic side effects".
I heard that the Admin here had good results with Revivogen and topical spironolactone.

Another option down the road would be topical Finasteride: Finasgel. Or even low level laser therapy.
What do u think?

Everyone responds differently to different treatments, and it could be a long road ahead of you till you find the one that helps you. Some people go directly to the big guns- Propecia, minoxidil, etc. Some try experimenting and claim success with holistic products, herbs, etc. Whatever you decide to go with, you should start acting on it now.

Good luck.
