Hi, can anyone tell me if topical Pimecrolimus (Elidel) is effective for diffuse Alopecia Aerata. I have seen only one study claiming its a effective as topical corticosteroid but most literrature review claims its ineffective . Can anyone comment or have any experience using it ?
I have been Rx betamethasone valerate lotion in the morning and pimecrolimus cream at night. Would I be better off using the corticosteroid both morning/evening ? Any other treatment I should consider or look at (oral fexofenadine (Allegra) ?
