topical finasteride question

hey guys, so i just received my 1% topical finasteride yesterday night and just finished doing my first application.

my question is.. since its 1% finasteride and 5%minoxidil, how would i go about measuring what would be similar to 1mg orally? idk how to go about this, my solution came in a spray bottle so i just kinda sprayed 2 or 3 shots in each temple, forelock and crown and tried to rub it into my whole scalp.

IDK how to measure, should i use my minoxidil dropper? and if so, how much should i use?

Doubt that it's 1% man. 1%= 10mg/ml. You have probably a 0.1% solution which equals 1mg/ml.

Using a dropper would be easy to measure yeah.

Measure it with a 1ml dropper. There's your 5% minoxidil and 0.1% (1mg) finasterade per ml.

Is 1ml enough to cover the whole top of the head? Like 1ml seems to be a little more than a single drop.

No, you need about 3ml to cover the whole top well. I find it strange that your meant to use 1ml of minoxidil. I can only apply to my temples and back of my crown or I'd be overdosing.

That's exactly my thoughts as well.. I plan on gradually switch from oral to topical finasteride (the H&W liposomal formulation). But always wondered how can I use only 1ml and how to apply if one has long (or not-to-short) hair.. I have a #6 buzz cut, but what if I want to grow longer..

Where are you getting this topical finasteride? You can easily cover the entire scalp with 2ml, depending on how long your hair is. Mine is like 4", but diffused as hell, and I only apply 1ml RU per night. Start at the back, let it drip down and rub it back in thoroughly. Why not consider the minoxidil cream with .1% finasteride? It's a lot easier to apply because it doesn't run every where, stick on your hair or dry up in 5 seconds.

Ant I see u use topical alot. Do you think they are effective. I have no side effects with topical finasteride so far and I'm on day 3, do you think it's enough to stop hairloss? I use low dose finasteride orally (.25-.5mg) while using the topical

so far so good, no sides with topical, idk if its just me being optimistic but i feel like my shedding has been greatly reduced, im on day 4 of applications.
