"The idea behind topical dutasteride has to do with the chemical properties compared to finasteride. At the molecular level, dutasteride is more difficult to deliver as a topical agent to be absorbed through the skin due to the size of dutasteride molecules. They are larger than those of finasteride. This difficulty however becomes an advantage as the difficulty to get past the subcutaneous layer may prevent systemic absorption. The molecular size prevents deep penetration. In addition, dutasteride has a high lipophilicity of 4.94, compared to 3.03 of finasteride, which means it is less water soluble than finasteride or more “greasy”. This higher lipophilicity can in theory help dutasteride to remain in the skin longer as these properties tend to preclude the paracellular and follicular routes of ingress into the skin. "

"It is for these reasons that we have begun to offer topical dutasteride to our patients. We feel that the efficacy of topical dutasteride may be quite improved over that of topical finasteride and with a strong potential for having fewer side effects. Topical dutasteride is now available from Medikemos Hair Restoration in Brussels, Belgium, for all of our patients, past and future. "

Anyone want to give this a try? I am not sure how this was tested at all, if the risk of side effects is greater or smaller...

However, my hairline is not holding up on finasteride, so I'm looking into alternative options. But Dutasteride just scares the hell out of me.

No price ?
I'm really curious to try.
I made a topical solution (10%dmso, 20%pg 70alcool) ... it didn't work. My vehicle was not really effective, maybe ?

I doubt it was. 4 month ago when I was trying to get my hand on Topical Fina I have a discussion with him and he said he have something in mind to give to his patient. I would never taught of Topical Duta

Another Scam artist with plenty of fools to take advantage of
To be fair, there are more obvious scams out there. I know that it's more likely that it doesn't work, but at least it is based on a drug that we know works. I might try that one or the hanson & wong dutasteride as my options are becoming slimer...

Attached a screenshot of the email they sent back to me.

This has "scam" written all over the place.
In theory sounds good but the price and the need to meet the scammer in person isn't good.

Dutasteride is a perscription drug, no doctor is going to give it to you without a consultation. As for the price, it's supply and demand at the end of the day.
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03004469?term=topical+finasteride&rank=3

A company that is investing money on research for a topical treatment without or less side effects... They just finished phase 3 or trials and yet the best prediction for a comerciaco product is up to 2020...

Dr lumpanzulas research and results are where?
Ask him for a deal of money back if it doesn't work and he will laugh because thatst the point of the scam... First you pay and then he laughs to the bank.
He is just taking advantage of the known hair growth effectiveness of oral dutasteride but somehow he can make a magical topical lotion thattgives no side effects... With no trials..
Scam

Btw, that depends on the country and city.
My doctor couldn't prescribe me dutasteride because I dont have prostatic hyperplasia and that could hurt him (to prescribe such thing on a healthy person, today prescriptions are regulated electronically on a EU level).
On the other hand, I have this one physical pharmacy 100% legit where the farmacist simply doesn't ask me personally for the prescription. Apparently he can do it without problems.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I'm researching topical Dutasteride and can't find much feedback about it.

Seems topical fina has grown more popular, there must be some people out there who've tried topical Duta (Lupanzula's formula or someone else's), anyone?
