To use Minoxidil or to not...

I'm in my early twenties with some diffuse thinning and some thinning of the hairline. It's not major, but it's noticeable being that I used to have really thick hair when i was younger. After about four years of slow thinning, i want to do something about it, but am rather reluctant based on reading all the posts on here..

I've decided to hold off on using finasteride/Propecia for the time being, but I'm wondering how many people have had good results with minoxidil? Have any of you similar to my situation used minoxidil and seen good results? Are there any side-effects, and if so, what are they? Does shedding occur on minoxidil, and if so, is it major, or just very minor? Any help is appreciated as I'm confused as to what to do and frustrated that I'm starting to lose my hair!

propecia is better for maintaining what you have.

rogaine is for regrowth.

do you want to keep what you have or do you want to grow some hair, go though a shed, then be a slave to rogaine for the rest of your life?

by being in this forum, we are already a slave to male pattern baldness.

we are all slaves to one thing or another and there are much worse things to be slaves to.
