To Plunge, Or Not To Plunge

Hey guys, I have posted a few times here and look on these forums every now and then. I am 22 years old, and like a lot of you, I am dealing with potential hair loss. My hair loss is not that bad, everyone who has commented on my pictures have said that I am a "strong" NW2. I USED to have thick hair, but the thickness is definitely turning thin and I want to do something about it.

Long story short, I just got Proscar in my hands. I got it yesterday, yet I have not taken a pill yet because I want to ask you all one more question before I go for it. That question is...is this going to work? Different people react differently to finasteride, but as a whole, do you believe it would be a smart move to start taking finasteride? I am at a stage where I can still use my hair to still cover up areas and honestly, I'm afraid that taking finasteride would expedite hair loss even faster. Yet at the same time, I wonder, maybe this WILL actually work. We are all in it together, and I'd just like some opinions. Thanks a lot and all the best, take care guys.

There is no answer to your question. Its a risk and the odds are in your favor that it will turn out well so I mean not much else to say

Lets put it this way if you decide not to use propecia then you may well just accept male pattern baldness and move on because right now that is by far the only thing we have.

why do you think finasteride will expediate hairloss?

Stop overthinking it and take it, that's what I did.

Catching your hairloss as quickly as possible gives you the best chance, every week you waste doing nothing about it probably hinders what you can maintain/regrow.

I jumped on finasteride about 3 weeks after I saw the first signs or hairloss and I won't be looking back, no sides but I'm only 2 and a bit weeks in, if anything though my libido is higher.
