minoxidil always makes my skin peel and shed which in turn requires me to use t gel every day..for those of you that shave your head but still use minoxidil,..does your skin peel. i mean when you shave your head, isn't it noticible..like you have sunburn or something. i'm just curious in case one day in the future i decide to shave my head and it's noticible. you'd have to stop minoxidil right?

Are you using OTC minoxidil? By that I mean store-bought? I think Dr. Lee sells some that is supposed to be gentler (No PPG or something like that).

i use generic minoxidil (kirkland). it always leaves holes in my scalp from skin shedding. but it goes away when i shampoo and i use dry skin lotion (around the temples). i don't mind it though considering i still have enough hair to hide my scalp and i can save 50% as opposed to buying rogaine. i wouldn't spend that much on minoxidil if rogaine was the only alternative. especially since it doesn't do that much.

i shaved my head, and used minoxidil (almost 3 months with it).. all i can say is that i had GREAT results with it.. it was great, coz you dont care about sheds (because there are 'no hair' for sheds :p ) and it was easier to apply it on the scalp.. the only 'problem' with minoxidil (its not actually a problem) is the irritation when I apply it (about 10 seconds with irritation and red scalp), but then it's ok..
