Tired of Being Bald

My hair started thinning at 19, and hit what I suppose is the Norwood 7 level by my mid twenties. I just sort of went with it, shaved my head, and tried not to let it bother me. I made the occasional joke about how I never needed to see a barbar again. But a few years ago I found myself wearing hats all the time, even when I slept. Truth is, it's bothering me a lot lately. Especially now that I'm single.

Just reading around a bit, I gather that there aren't many options for me. finasteride helps prevent loss, but can't regrow the levels I need. And a hair transplant can only do so much for someone at my stage. Which means this is it. My last haircut really was over 15 years ago.

Anyway. I'm putting up this post in the hope that I've missed something. Maybe there's some option or 2014 technique that post dates what I've read.

Thanks.

there are clinics that glue a wig to your scalp. looks too natural. for about $1000.

What changed? You seemed to manage it pretty well early on. Shaving your head and moving on is really the best option for many of us and you seemed to be able to do it in the past. Unfortunately at NW7 your main option at this point is a piece. You can go for transplants if you have the donor area and lots of cash, but you will never achieve anything close to full density.

Cash isn't really the problem, but I suppose I'd rather have it shaved than have it look wispy, patchy, or thin. After all, I started shaving it when it was thin in the first place because it didn't look right on me. As far as what changed, I don't know. It just got to me one day.

Regarding clinics that glue wigs to heads, where do I find one of these places? Is there a special phrase to google to look up something local, or should I travel somewhere to get the best work possible done?

I checked out some of these videos, and they look good. Of course, I don't understand the language, but the visuals were enough to convince me that this is something I'm open to.

Of course, people I know will initially laugh, but I guess that's okay. I just need to find some sort of clinic in the U.S. that offers a really professional service. I'd hate to get something subpar.

I don't have any experience if the popular hair system clubs, but I have heard many negatives about them. I would stay far away from any place that wants you to sign a contract.
