THIS is why you shouldn't expect side effects, or look for them, when you take finasteride

Because the mind is a powerful, powerful, powerful, powerful, POWERFULtool.

"A mysterious powder that spurred the evacuation of Switzerland's largest postal service centre turned out to be harmless starch, police in the canton of Zurich said on Wednesday.
Some 220 people were evacuated from the building in the Schlieren district north of Zurich late Tuesday after workers at the facility complained thatwhite powder found in two letters had made them ill.
In all, 34 people were sent to hospital, but by Wednesday they had all been released, the ATS news agency reported.

So, people were exposed to CORNSTARCH, they assumed it was poison, and proceeded to puke, get headaches, and have trouble breathing. FROM CORNSTARCH! So, ya.....please remember how powerful your mind is. If you pop a finasteride pill and EXPECT to get side affects, I guarantee that you will.

Give it up Rawtashk, nobody is going along with your crazy theories! Your mind alone can't cause any symptoms! It's impossible because people are in always in full control over their thoughts and bodies!

Seriously though, good stuff. I recall hearing about a story like this years ago where an entire school was basically quarantined because the students started becoming ill. All the 'infected' students were locked up into the gym, and they were vomiting and had diarrhea and high fevers and were delirious and all this crazy stuff. Turns out there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of them; it was just mass hysteria that spread like wildfire.

Oh, and this:

i thought nocebo would be subconscious not from consciously thinking about it.
Are there any recommendations for dealing with nocebo?

Those results would look even better if they included a placebo group I would bet

I initially thought the same thing, but actually the only thing a placebo group (that is, a group taking an inert placebo pill) would show is the incidence rate of side effects versus the treatment group, which has already been quite well established. The side effects rates of the treatment group are very similar to those found in other placebo controlled trials done on finasteride.

There have been clinical studies done on the nocebo effect of 5ar inhibition. They concluded some of the sides could not be accounted for by the pharmacologic action of the compound alone, so yes the mind can induce sides, just as it induces illnesses in individuals with hypochondriasis

Oh ok you are being facetious. lol
