Sometimes I feel like all the hair-loss forums are a big "Truman show" and we're the characters.
The admin is one of the producers and he actually has a full head of hair, while the investors' list includes
George Clooney, Hugh Jackman and a few more people that want the rest of the world to stay bald and ugly, so they can be a special minority.

I'm here since 2010 and I've seen so many random products come and go, and everytime it went the same way:
Skepticism --> Internalization --> Excitement -->> Patience -->
Disappointment --> Anger --> Depression --> Repeat.

From time to time I find a thread about a new product with great promises on google (with a link to a random forum) and get excited, then I see it is from 2003/4, and I think "hell, even then?" and it's the same comments, exactly the same.
There is always the *optimistic guy* that says "that's it, we have it, we're cured", then there's the angry one
("How can you even take this thing seriously, it has 'snake oil' written all over it ), then of course there are 2 guys that are fighting to death with each other (no one knows why, not even them), and how can we forget the reporter - who "has connections" and is "in touch with the company" and everyone is counting on him. If he suddenly dies in a car accident, we're all doomed.
We're like rats in a maze, we keep repeating the same trails but we don't remember we were here before.
Maybe because the old members are already gone and moved on, and every year there's a new generation with new energy, then they get exhausted and...repeat.

This industry is very easy, everyone can make a profit if they have no soul, and there are a lot like these.
There will always be new and naive balding dudes, I remember when I started using a product in 2011 that promised 80%
less hair loss and great regrowth.

It was Aminexil.

Then you have CB, the acne version is given priority over the Androgenetic Alopecia version which will only come out in 2021 at best. Then drugs that reach Phase II and are just shelved, still It's not the same thing as before, we will have better treatments but not tomorrow.

Cheaper FUE? that is your big change?
Of course there were changes, but it was nothing compared to the expectations.
If this is the only "change" you're able to mention since 2003, then I was right.

Congrat. You've come to this realization.

You just earned your ticket out of the Truman show.

In before admin chimes in for another textbook crisis PR turnover maybe.
