Hairline is pretty good. Better than most peoples my age actually (23) and hasn't moved since 2008

However the side up there concerns me. I'm not sure how long its been like that since I would need to use 2 mirrors to get that view, but it looks bad.

What would cause that? I thought male pattern baldness doesn't effect the sides of the head? Notice how even my sideburn is thinning? I thought that was a different type of hair than scalp and isnt effected at all by male pattern baldness.

yeah I've got the same thing :( my sides are more thinner and wispier than the rest of my hair. I'm 33 and have pretty good coverage. Temples are thinning a little.

I think most common male pattern baldness is all about the top hair/hairline, though might just be rarer for guys like us to have the opposite. Though thats not a bad thing as I usually shave the sides anyway ;)

I generall have a 2 on the sides so its not very noticible but lately I've been growing it longer an saw this.

I wonder if rogaine would do anything on the sides.

Try seeing another dermatologist if you can.

Looks natural to me. Probably the last time you got a hair cut the barber took the buzzer and tapered it off like that. It would look odd if your hair maintained the same thickness throughout.
