Thinning in Crown suddenly

Hi everyone! I have been browsing for a few days, and am new here. I need some direction to get on something ASAP.

I first noticed a lil thinning in my cowlick area a little over a year ago and since i have thick dark hair didnt thick anything of it...I did however have severe itching and visited a dermatoligst 6 months ago...he looked at my head and said theres nothing i could do and "Its natural"...he prescribed me some anti dandruff shampoo i never picked up....

Fast forward, in the last 2 months my hair has really started too thin out in the crown to the point i can see some skin. From what I've read I know I need to get on finasteride and/or Rogaine foam, just lost as to whether my best shot is to do both simultaneously?? As well as use a special shampoo?

Depending how severe it is I would say get on the minoxidil/finasteride simultaneously as the crown region is what responds best to treatment. I would also advise u to get on the Nizoral shampoo and use every 3 days or so

Ok that's what I figured. Thanks! Just wasnt sure whether I should start off with both finasteride and minoxidil right away. With that said, I made an appt. with a new derm on Friday to see if he'll prescribe me finasteride.

The last one I went too sucked.
