Thinning hair - grey hairs, light brown. Suggestions

Lately I have been keeping my hair very short 1 on side and 4 on top.
My hair has become very thin, greys coming in and my brown hair has turned very light in some places (yellow thin hairs). However, I still have alot of hair.

Do you think it is best to keep it very short with this type of hair? I could maybe post a picture

Have you thought about hair dye mate? A picture would be handy
