I know I'll probably get e-castrated for implying this, but for whatever reason I feel propecia has induced thinning hair. I'm not talking about diffuse thinning but an overall progressive thinning of even non-male pattern baldness affected hair. Why do I say this? Well, although it is definitely NOT a scientific experiment, here it goes... Ever since I started propecia my hair was at an all around length of apprx 1 inch. It is well-known that human hairs grow at approximately .5 inch a month give or take. So, as I find my shed hairs I look at them starting from the tip and move closer to the root. I go down about an inch and I say that is hair grown while not on propecia. Then I continue on and say that portion of the hair is grown while being on propecia. Although I dont have a microscope, it seems to the naked eye that the hair has thinned in this portion. This all may be coincidence, one being that my hair could possible be in an aggressive male pattern baldness state or two, it can be the winding down of a hair going into telogen phase. I just want to see if people have noticed this trend or am I the only one? Thanks all.
