I also have a low, perfect hairline but thinning at the vertex. I don't want to be a slave to these proven FDA drugs so I try alternatives. See my regimen

You can only see my thinning in bright light too. Try this:

Eat 3 Granny smith or Red Delious apples a day and a few handful of Pumpkin seeds. These 2 apples have a large amount of procyanidin, even more than wine and tests have shown it to be more effective for hair growth than minoxidil. Just google procyanidin and hair loss. Google the same for Pumpkin seeds, they have been shown to reduce DHT in the body (not sure of the scalp)

These two things MAY help but I doubt it. Anyways, I am going to add the above to things in my life and see if it helps. Also there is a person here claiming that his friend used shampoo containing keto and Aloe Vera to regrow his hair. Not sure if thats true but try that also. I am going to use Aloe Vera in my regimen.

By the way, you will likely see people here soon saying the above information is rubbish and will not work. Just do the research and make your own mind up.

bull sh*t.

OP, don't listen to this.

Yep, and here is the first person, I did warn you. Hi...

Here is one of the studies done on procyanidin:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11841365

and a link I think that shows more studies:

http://www.applepolyphenols.com/studies/hairgrowth.htm

The link below shows you how much procyanidin there are in apples and other food such as dark chocolate.

http://jn.nutrition.org/cgi/content/full/130/8/2086S

Also read this:

http://www.applepoly.com/procyanidin-b-2/

Many hair growth products including Virile Mane contain procyanidin's and although their is no real proof these products work. Just because their isn't proof, doesn't mean they don't work though!

Some people here use grape seed extract, but some apples have much more procyanidin than grape seeds and red wine.

Will procyanidin grow back hair? Probably not, it is unknown but you cannot ignore the studies. I love apples, especially granny smiths so sure, I will add these into my life, it's not going to have any negative effects.

For Pumpkin Seeds:

http://www.hairloss-reversible.com/disc ... 1170602363

Pumpkin Seed is suppose to help block DHT. Again, does it? maybe and would it help for hair loss? Maybe but probably not. I will add this to my diet because its cheap and tasty.
