Current Hair situation receding temples and diffused thinning on top and at the crown. No slick bald parts apart from the temples. My hair loss is not aggressive and has moved at a slow pace thankfully. I have been using minoxidil for about a year now and I just think its maintaining no regrowth. Started to derma roll 1.5mm every week about 2 months ago to allow the minoxidil to absorb better. Also been using Revivogen on and off not sure how effective it has been.
I realise I need some sort of DHT blocker to have better results and I'm thinking my DHT levels are not that high since loosing hair at a slow rate. I'm not going the Finesteride route right now for various reasons. So mixing RU at a 5% concentration into my minoxidil seems to be where I'm thinking right now. However there are not great (documented) success stories with RU I see people say it gave them sides ruined what ever hair they had etc and the odd report that it has helped albeit no great pictures or documentation. I cannot afford to damage the hair I have left. What I was hoping to do was just apply the RU/minoxidil at the receded temple areas and monitor closely how it works/how I react to it. If I get some positive results I feel safer about applying it to the top of my head and crown area. What are your thoughts on this?
