think I stopped it w/topical finasteride, should i still add oral?

So, after a good year and a half on topical finasteride I can barely see hair on my pillow, shirt or on my hands when showering. I can tug at it, everything. Could it be that the topical finasteride has actually done its job?
Hair is still thin. No more hair now than a year ago, possibly less.
I want to thicken things up of course, would it be foolish to start the regular big 3 with oral finasteride at this point?

No one can really tell you what to do from here, unfortunately.

If you believe the topical finasteride is working, continue to use it. Please don't tug on your hair. It is not a true test and can actually result in stress in the follicles and result in further hairloss. Note, a different type of hair loss.

As for your thinning, you could add minoxidil in your regime. Once again, stop using it, if you are having a reaction to this or any other drug.

Finasteride in drug swallow form? It really depends. I would never suggest anyone to overdose on the amount of finasteride to take. So if you use the both oral and topical form together, you surely will be taking too much.

From the way you are saying above, just relax and enjoy. You are only a small lucky few who respond to topical finasteride. So enjoy. It did'nt work for me. Only oral finasteride worked.

See now how can I truly be sure that it worked? Yeah I can barely see hair falling out, but it´s still thin as hell! Oral finasteride would perhaps have given me some regrowth within a year ? I´ve been putting this off for five years, and today I ordered propecia. Huurrr. I hope I´ll man up and take it when they arrive... :whistle:

This is what sucks about being on unproved treatments.. Maybe I`ve stopped loss and I´m getting maximum advantage out of finasteride.. Maybe regrowth just won´t happen for me. And all this without sides!
But then you think to yourself.... What if the finasteride isn´t working topically at all and I´m just miniaturizing... :shakehead:
