Things to ask the dermatologist

Hey, so i've finally decided to do something about my hairloss, so i'm visiting a derma in a week. I'm 21, and i think i've been balding for 3 years. my temples are shot to sh*t, but recently they've gotten worse and the front is starting to recede and thin like crazy. So my question to you is: Is there anything I should ask my dermatologist to pin down my hairloss in order to get the best possible treatment?

thanks for your replies.

cancel the appointment

do your own research

then go see a general practitioner

don't waste your money on a useless derm. I have read countless posts from people who went to see a derm and only a small handful were happy.

well it's covered by my insurance...so why not? also, i'm not about to start taking pills that can seriously affect my life without seeing a medical professional first.

A dermatologist is going to tell you to get on propecia and be done with you. Honestly the guys here will have better advice than a derm would. Just go see a general practitioner and get a prescription for propecia.

I don't think it matters if the cost is the same to you.
