Here is a picture, I got my hair cut short recently and I've noticed I very thin hair on both sides of my head in lines (you can sort of see it in the picture, it extends from my temples back to about where you can see in the picture). I don't think I have any real recession on the rest of my head, my hair isn't falling out, so much as I think it isn't growing in those particular spots. I can't find pictures of anyone suffering this anywhere else on the internet, everywhere focuses on the traditional male pattern baldness formation (which my father very mildly had but not my grandfather, and nobody on my mother's side). It can't really be seen in the picture but my hair is also a thin just above my sideburns, in front of the ear (closest to my face) and underneath the lines on both sides.

In this picture from a different angle you can see it goes sort of down the side and then to a patch around the back of my head and then stops, the other side doesn't go as far.
I've had for years this skin condition on my scalp where its sort of itchy/red/spotty and occasionally flares up. Furthermore some changes I've made to my life are I am under more stress than in the past, I gave up eating dairy foods about 8 months ago (i take vitamins) and I guess that's it. What is going on with my hair?
