You’re going to go through the shed regardless of whether or not you’re in fina.Basically I’ve been on rogaine twice daily’s since January the 25th and have been shedding a lot recently my hair looks worse than ever now should I wait till the rogaine stops and wait for regrowth or start finestrade now and hope it combats this ?
thanks for ththe reply I knew this would happen before I started but you still worry when it actually happens ! Any idea how long it takes, yeah I might start as i have a 8 week supply an ideally I’ll like my hair to look good for the summwrbYou’re going to go through the shed regardless of whether or not you’re in fina.
Just ride it out. If you have Androgenetic Alopecia it’s probably a good idea to get on fina though.
Usually lasts from anywhere between 3 weeks and a month or two. Just ride the wave man, I know it’s really frightening. If it helps, get a shorter hair cut so that the regrowth catches up faster.thanks for ththe reply I knew this would happen before I started but you still worry when it actually happens ! So hopefully I only have 1 month left of shedding see I thought should I wait to see the regrowth of rogaine before starting finasteride personally would you start it at the same time ?Usually lasts from anywhere between 3 weeks and a month or two. The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll know if It’s a good drug for you. Try to be patient, it can take up to a year to see results.
My regimen hasn’t been updated for a while but I’ll give you the brief rundown. Thanks for the advice
If you don’t mind could
You break down your regime and why you take it
What vitamins do you suggest for collagen? Collagen production seems to be the holy grail of anti-aging research but theres's not much good info on it.My regimen hasn’t been updated for a while but I’ll give you the brief rundown.
Minoxidil is obvious - it’s a growth stim. I use the oral stuff because it works better and I use the topical stuff for extra insurance, and because I mix other things into it.
Diane35 is a birth control pill containing 35mcg ethinyl estradiol (estrogen) and 2mg cyptoterone acetate. It is often used as a combined treatment for androgen issues because it has anti-androgenic properties. I also don’t produce my own estrogen because I went through menopause at 21, so it’s hormone replacement for me. Estrogen is really really good for hair, and some of the guys in the forum are even using it.
Avodart i take for the same reasons you would take finasteride. It blocks dht, but it’s a stronger version of finasteride.
I use another topical antiandrogen but we think it might be fake so I can’t comment on that yet.
Stemoxydine is another growth stimulant which works in a different way to minoxidil. Just an add-in to see if it will help with my overall density.
I also take a bunch of vitamins for collagen production, antioxidants and minerals.
I use a dermastamp 1 x a week because wounding is shown in studies to promote new follicle growth.
I take coq10 and l-cysteine.What vitamins do you suggest for collagen? Collagen production seems to be the holy grail of anti-aging research but theres's not much good info on it.
