Okay so, say you couldn't care less about side effects, hair was the only thing on your mind, and damaging your health for it was fine with you.

What would your regimen be?

I was thinking along the lines of:

Oral dutasteride
Oral cyproterone acetate
Oral minoxidil
Oral cyclosporin
Oral Ketoconazole
Topical minoxidil
Topical copper
Topical apple poly
Revita and H&S shampooing daily

Any more ideas?

PS: this is just hypothetical, I am not recommending that anyone does this!!

the combo dutasteride 0.5mg, oral minoxidil 5mg and oral spironolactone 100mg would be excelent. The problem is price.

Dutasteride is fine. It has a very similar safety profile to finasteride, unless you take a big dose.

I haven't put dutasteride on there because I think it's dangerous in itself, but in conjunction with the rest of the meds, it will pretty much finish off all androgens in your body.

I reckon also that spironolactone will be irrelevant in this context.

pondle how do you know it is safe to use both at the same time?

I don't use both at the same time, I switch between the two. I only started doing it fairly recently. Long-term I will probably just stick to finasteride, because it's cheaper and dutasteride probably isn't that much more effective.

although it is not significant, finasteride and dutasteride seem to reduce importance... at least in a daily pill taking scenario :D
