The frontal 'island' hair loss

I am Norwood 2.5 (aged 22), but I have noticed recently that the hair behind my frontal hair is starting to thin dramatically. It looks as though it is going to turn into an island i.e. a gap between the frontal hair and the crown hair. Is this a sign that I am soon heading for the advanced stages of hair loss? I currently buzz my head to a grade 1. If I'm heading for ultimate baldness then I'll have to go down to grade 0 and then completely shave it.

(Sorry, no pictures, I need some batteries for my camera)

It's sad to say but you probably are. Or are you on any medication and could it just be a shed?

No medication, so it must be a sign of things to come. I will buzz my hair down to grade 0 tomorrow and try it out for a while. Hopefully I still attract the same number of women I do with the grade 1.

You're not going to lose any women based on the grade of the clippers, I can guarantee you that.
