Hey guys, im concerned that the quality of my hair where i applied the minoxidil where i have thick(ish) hair has deteriorated... sort of on top and past my hairline maybe coz of the shedding... not too sure.

But do you think there is any benefit of applying the minoxidil literally on my hairline only... maybe 5mm in and on the temples and peak only? As this really is where my concern lies...

My concern is if i continue full application on top for 4 months i'll look back and regret it. In theory i should grow this lost hair on top back in 3 months as it comes out of that shed phase... true? By just applying it to the hairline i can analyse its effectiveness easily...

What do you reckon?

well, i cant see how minoxidil would "kill" healthy hair. id say maybe its shedding hair that was about to fall out anyway and it'll grow back the same or thicker. i can't see how minoxidil would damage this hair...it could also be that this hair is male pattern baldness prone and you just didnt know it. minoxidil may be initiating the shed of this thinning hair that would fall out anyway and perhaps miniaturize without the minoxidil.
