Testing hair system route. advice needed

I am a diffuse thinner in the top and crown area. hairline and sides looks good and thick.

I want to try out a partial crown system to blend it with my hair but before I commit and shave/glue would love to test how it will look like.

Went to a nearby hair system salon but they did not have the clip on systems and did not encourage my approach, they wanted to shave and fix.

Any advice if its a good approach and how to do it?

Since you only have lost at the crown, I agree with your idea to try out a topper.
Google "men clip-on topper" or similar searches and try buying on internet if local salons don't have then. Seems popular in India, as I have seen many YouTube videos on men's toppers. May be harder to get depending on your color and the fact that they are usually smaller than a hairpiece
