Do terminal hairs that are shed on Propecia go through at least another terminal cycle? I have been shedding many terminal thick hairs from the front (problem area) and I'm wondering if there's a chance they may grow in miniturized. I'm wondering if a terminal hair can go to miniturized in one cycle.

There's always the chance that a terminal hair will turn vellus in one cycle. In fact, all hair follicles are programmed to be either vellus or terminal at any given time. But complete miniaturization is a long process.

Stingray, I'm confused. Are you saying that a regular terminal hair (without drugs or outside influence) can sometimes grow as a vellus and then grow as a terminal on the next cycle? Or are you saying that becoming vellus is part of the hairloss cycle?

Stingray....Ok, so you're saying that vellus hair doesn't necessarily mean a sign on hairloss?....it could be just on a vellus cycle?

Yes. But it's only something like 5% of your hairs are vellus at any given time (if you aren't losing your hair). So don't rule out male pattern baldness.
