Firstly, bit of a background on how my hair loss started. Well, I first started noticed thinning coinciding with an extremely oiliness of scalp and face. The sebum was extreme. I would wash my face and it would become oily again after a few minutes. This combined with spots all over the face and scalp was definately behind the thinning. I noticed my hair was becoming really frizzy and thin with the temples receding and the crown thinned out considerably. Then I got on minoxidil and Nizarol. Nizarol sorted out the the oily problem completely, my face has cleaned up of spots almost altogether and the hair has regained excellent thickness and filled in almost completely except the temples where there is stioll a bit of work to be done. Do you guys think it is male pattern baldness or some other problem. Perhaps nizarol would have sorted out the problem and there was no need to go on minoxidil. Anyway, whatsdone is done.
Back to the title of this thread. This may sound a bit of a contradiction, but it isn't. I have now been on minoxidil 5% for a year and a half. My hair has changed dramatically for the better with awsome thickening and my temples, which was the main problem, particularly the right temple, has filled in to great extent, but over the last few weeks I have noticed that my temples, although filling in at the top i.e. the hairline is improving all the time, the lowest part of my temples i.e. the bit thats nearest the eyes and the ears have gone back a bit. I ahve had this problem before but the hair has regrown and thickened again, but this time there seems to be fewer hairs there. My left temple ghas always been good, but agin it also seems to have reced slightly at the bttom part of the temple but again filling in all the time at the top.
In addittion to minoxidil, I use Nizarol every 3rd and take MSM tablets, partly responsible for the overall thickness. As for countering DGHT, I have been using Revivogen for the last 5/6 months, but I am not very strict with it. I am confused with revivogen because there seems to be a lot of doubt about its effectiveness on this forum. I must say, it may be partly responsible for my hair receding at the bottom of my temples.
In some ways, I wish I hadn't started using revivogen because I was doing great with Minoxidl alone along with nizarol. To be honest, I am not even sure if I should be using any anti-DHT treatments at all. I am not even sure if male pattern baldness is the cause in my case because my brothers have great hair. I also wish I hadn't put minoxidil on the lowest part of the temple. By doing this, I have exposed it to the cycle of thinning and thickening. Is hould just have left that part alone. Do you guys think I should move on to Xandrox 15% to recruit the hairs at the bottom of the temporal region. I also hear it great for reducing DHT on the scalp.
