Telomerase

I was searching about hair cloning and came across this article saying that a protein called telomerase could be the cure for hairloss and cancer.

Most of the news i came across were from last year when they discovered it so i guess they are still investigating that but i wonder about the interest from the users here about telomerase,because there are few posts talking about it.

Are you sure it was Telomerase? Do you have a link to the article or anything? I can't see how telomerase could help for male pattern baldness since it is simply an enzyme that codes for horseshit when your an embryo to extend your DNA.

I saw this article a few months back. It is from 2002. The protein listed in the article is epimorphin. I have no clue what that is. I also found something else about another company. I'll post it if I find it.

you need telomers for your cells to divide. your cells divide more slowly as you age because the telomers keep getting shorter. If we could get telomerase where it is needed, we could live longer and healthier. I don't see how it would help male pattern baldness or cancer. Cancer divides so fast perhaps because it has telomerase to keep it going. Embryos have nice long telomers, so it figures the topic could come up in hair cloning. Unless male pattern baldness has causes follicle cells to have shorter telomers, I don't see how putting it on your head would help. There still are so many other problems. I'd rather give it to my whole body. I don't even know if it would get where it needs to go if used topically, or if you'd need daily applications or just once every 20 years. The stuff is so advanced though that if you see a site selling it, you know it is a scam. Only researchers with embryos have that stuff, and I'm sure it is expensive.
