Target Drug Delivery.
Basically the idea is to deliver drugs to a certain part of the body in contrast to traditional drug delivery. It's already being used for tumors, pain and other diseases.

I haven't found anything on this being used on Androgenetic Alopecia. If this were to be put into practice, it would address the issue of Antiandrogens and Hormonal treatments circulating the blood and affecting other areas other than the intended site.
One idea would be to get someone who already works with Targeted Drug Delivery and have them deliver something like Dutasteride, or even Estrogen to a specific area.
