Tanning lotion - Can it block hair folicals?

I have a very white head and want to carry on using tanning moisturisers to add a bit of colour. My only concern is that tanning lotions don't absorb properly. My other worry is the active tanning ingredient could actually damage the fine or thinning hairs?

I'm not 100% sure and I want to give my hair the best chance possible, so could someone confirm this isn't the case?

Cheers :lost:

I apply tanning lotion now and then but the instructions say to try and avoid the hairline, possibly because it will turn your hair a different colour, I wouldnt try to apply the lotion into your scalp IMO.

Do you think it could be harmful to the hair or thinning hair then? Applying the fake tan helps keep a similar colour accross my buzzed head and detracts from the hair line a little thats all. If its a bad idea then I won't.

I have used some that said to avoid hair, facial hair and eyebrows as it can damage them.

Now you have a good reason to hit the tanning salon. :punk:
