Taking finasteride or dutasteride every other day or every 3 days?

I vaguely some people talking about finasteride every other day, but has anybody tried every 3 days? Isn't every other day just as effective at reducing DHT levels because of half-life of finasteride/dutasteride?

Yes a lower dose can reduce the side effects but you got to remember that it might not be as effective for treating your hairloss. While I did experience lesser side effects while I was on 0.25 mg EOD, they never fully vanished. Maybe it was due to higher baseline estradiol levels which caused the issue to begin with. One thing is for certain if I ever consider using finasteride again, I'll get my hormone levels checked prior to taking the pill.
