Taking a break from finasteride

I've been off finasteride now for a little over a week after 3 months on it. I started getting tenderness and perhaps even a small pea-sized lump in one of my nipples which was very frightening to me. I believe that I was beginning to suffer from a hormone imbalance of some sort. I'm going to give finasteride one more chance, after taking a break from it for a few weeks and committing to a more healthy lifestyle, in hopes that I won't see these side effects again.
Has anyone has a similar experience? And how long can I safely take a break from finasteride without starting to shed?
For what it's worth, with the big three I've noticeably increased my hairline density in the past 3 months, which has been great.

Its not uncommon to get nipple tenderness now and again even when not on any drugs. Try eating half a broccoli a day and take 200mg of grapeseed extract, both proven natural estrogen blockers.

Its a big mistake IMO coming off finasteride as you will likely have a huge shed.

23, 5'10", 160 lbs, don't workout, binge drink a few times a week with 6-12 beers, eat like ****, very fond of canned and frozen meals as well as mcdonalds and chipotle.
I'm very certain that something was wrong with my breast tissue, but I think I should give finasteride another shot without living such an unhealthy lifestyle because I may have contributed to the problem.
