T/Sal or T/Gel

I'm thinking of adding one of these to help with itch and scalp buildup. Any comments on the differences/effectiveness between the two. They have completely different active ingredients (salyctic acid, coal tar) so i'm wondering which one you guys have had more success with. I'm guessing the T/Sal is probably pretty good for buildup since it is a good exfoliant, but i've used salyctic acid on my face before and i know it causes some dryness and irritation. what's the word?

T/Sal: Exfoliant. If your regimen contains topicals, very good add.
Will enhance absorption.

T/Gel: Helps with irritation.

Since you are not using topicals, you could go for T/Gel to simulate the propecia trials results.

(You could add T/Sal if you wish to go for both and combine it with nizoral).

Salycilic acid is also anti-inflammatory.

There have been concerns that coal tar is carcinogenic and I believ it is prohibited in some US states.

Personally I would use TSal.

Testohate, actually, I'd say that Nizoral would be the best medicated shampoo for you. I believe I read a while back that the Ketoanalconahole ingredient in Nizoral reduces sebum output.

Hey, Testohate... I believe that you said you were Persian. Are you posting from Iran? If you are, I must say that while I was going to university, I lived in an apartment in the "Little Teheran" area of Los Angeles and have lots of Persian friends. I hope I don't offend you by saying this, but, Persian women are beautiful!

Great stuff, all those shampoos..

BUT..

Do not dismiss Head & Shoulders !!!!!!!!!!!!

... It, and it alone, is the reason my serious irritated scalp and itch problems have gone away.

The 'Dry Scalp Care' and the 'Sensitive Care' are my 2 favorite formulas.. I rotate them and still use my Nizoral on Monday and Friday. THIS is my only shampoo regimen, and I like it a lot right now!

Also, I've been styling my hair with Fruit of the Earth brand 100% aloe vera gel (http://www.drugstore.com or your local Rite Aid) .. and this stuff rocks! I rub it into my scalp, push it down with my palms (while scalp is still damp), then style with a comb as usual.. slick back style :D

All good.
