T/Sal before Nizoral.. or mixed like Dr. Lee's?

Hi,

I've recently heard that Dr. Lee has a 'hair growth shampoo' available that is simply composed of some salicylic acid along with ketoconazole...

So my question is, should we be mixing those in our hands, or doing the old school method of T/Sal BEFORE Nizoral (letting each sit for a few minutes) ??

I cannot give you a definitive answer but i mix both of the shampoos in my hand and shampoo. Been doing this for about 6 months now and it works fine for me.

I do T/Sal first, let it sit then Nizoral.

The theory being that T/Sals function is to slough off dead skin cells.

By removing the dead epidermal layers there is an improved access for ketoconazole in suppressing the production of DHT in the scalp.

Dr Lee's = 2% Ketoconazole + 3% Salicylic Acid.

I never gave it much thought. I just shampoo with Nizoral one or two days a week, then shampoo with T-Sal one or two days a week. The rest of the week I use what ever was on sale @ Costco. I really think the Minoxidil/Xendrox & Finasteride/Dutasteride are more important for fighting male pattern baldness. The shampoo is mostly just to keep your scalp healthy so that it could keep the irritation & dandruff from all the topicals down to a minimum, as well as keeping your scalp healthy so that those topicals are better absorbed.

BTW, Wal-Mart has a 3% salicylic acid poo by Denorex for much cheaper than T/Gay. It also has a conditioner in it (although it doesn't do much IMO).
