1) do most people with male pattern baldness have over production of sebum? and an oily scalp?

2) do most have flaking and itching?

Your obviously a little worried about your impending baldness but you have asked 2 questions that are extremely difficult to answer.

I do not suffer from very oilyn scalp nor do I get an irrtation at all but I do have male pattern baldness.

No oily scalp or itching here either, and I only get flaking if I whack way too much minoxidil on my noggin - shouldn't try to apply after a trip to the pub.

Since I first noticed my male pattern baldness (about a year ago) I have never had a single flake of dandruff or itchiness.

It's not really dandruff, more like unabsorbed minoxidil. Got it a lot when I started applying it 4 years back, then realised what it was and took care to spread the minoxidil out better. Problem solved.

I'm just a bit haphazard after a lot of :beer:
