Switching to Proscar?

Okay, i'm getting excellent results on Finpecia 1mg, i've been on it almost three months now - success thread to come soon - however, due to money problems i'm thinking about switching to Fincar (Proscar)

However, i've read many times on this forum that people who switched to Proscar and cut the pill to save money experienced incredible sheds immediately after switching? Would a switch be a good idea so early in when i'm getting such good results with Finpecia?

What do you guys think? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

I dont know about switching to proscar but i can tell you this though. I have experimented with switching between saw palmetto and propecia and have noticed an increase in shedding. I dont know whether this is a good thing or bad thing. My scalp felt much healthier but the shedding was more noticeable. I think any type of drug your body is not use to, causes shedding as a result of it being shocked by the chemical changes induced into the body. At some point the body adapts to the chemical changes and becomes accustomed to it until anew drug or chemical change is induced again by another drug. The result is further shedding until the body adapts to the new change. Although proscar and propecia have the same chemicle (finestride), the potency of them are at different levels. Not to mention depending on who makes these drugs they may have other chemicles or substances in them. This may explain why some people have experienced shedding when switching.
