Switching Rogaine brands?

I've read horror stories of switching brands (foam) can cause shedding again. Is this true? Think about switching from Walmart to Kirkland for the price, but not if I have to go through another shed.

Well I think only Rogaine have the patent for their particular type of foam, so I wouldn't want to switch to a knock-off type of foam. Liquid to liquid would be less of an issue imo.
