Switching back to Propecia

I had been on Propecia for over 2 years but then started Avodart and have been on that for almost 1 year (currently take EOD, since it sounded so potent that it was not necessary every day). I had massive shedding on Avodart in the beginning, especially in the front which was really scary but I kept thinking it will grow back. I haven't shed in months but my front is still thin and I worry it will not grow back if I stay on Avodart.

After reading many posts on here part of the reason sounds like Avodart raises the testosterone in the frontal scalp area. I began using Topical spironolactone as a way to combat this. However I feel Propecia did not give me this problem so I think I want to switch back.

Additionally a minor annoyance is that while I am thin, I have had increased chest and stomach body fat on Avodart. It is not something I noticed on Propecia.

Anways, if and when I do switch back, how do I transition? Meaning keep taking Avodart EOD for a week or two, and on the opposite days take Propecia? Then once that is over, take Propecia every day?
