I am interested on suggestions on some good hair vitamins?? I know it will not help grow or re-grow lost hair but that is not my goal. I simply want to thicken and make the hair I have left more healthy.

There are so many scams out there I thought I would as some people I could trust before I made a decision.

Thanks.

In theory anti-oxidants will benefit your hair (and just about everything else) in the very long term.

In the sort term we have biotin, MSM, zinc.

The only vitamins for which there is a clear rationale to use for hairloss would be biotin and B6, for the following reasons:

There's an actual study (albeit rather obscure) claiming to have found a benefit to the overall quality of hair from a daily intake of 2.5 mg of biotin.

Vitamin B6 was shown in another study to reduce the cellular response to androgens, suggesting an obvious reason to use it for male pattern baldness.

Well this is interesting to say the least Bryan. What about the other herbs such as Nettles and Horse tail etc.... I was thinking more of a complete type pill that I could take. But one that is not a scam like Shen Min.

I would consider something like a simple regimen of pills like biotin, b6 etc. But I don't want to make a huge hassle out of it taking 6 or 7 pills 3 times a day.

Thanks-

Tis a bad link??

I do not believe in MSM does nothing but speed up the hair growth cycle :( I have tried all sort of stuff including GSE, Green tea, Omega 3's etc. I just want something that will help strengthen my excisting hair.

I know that there are products that will make ones hair shinier and stronger with more body- a cosmetic thing rather than an male pattern baldness thing.

Tynan- I have heard that anti-oxidants will boost the body's immune system and thus strengthen the immune response against one's own hair. What do you think? Why do you say antioxidants will help in the LR?

Sea Kelp tablets are supposed to help the hair grow. There is a review on the following site claiming that they make your hair grow faster.

Edit: I definitely think that Kelp tablets are doing something. I have only been taking them for a week but I have noticed that my finger nails are stronger than usual. I think they might even be growing faster.
