Hi all,
Had a pretty normal hairline about a year ago. Left temple started receding and dermatologist originally thought Telogen Effluvium, but then back started thinning a little bit so he diagnosed with male pattern baldness.
Put me on Finasteride 1mg, been on it for about 4 months now. Also on minoxidil for 8 months.
Question: In the past few weeks all of a sudden my right temple has gotten much worse than my left! It used to be my left that was receding more but it has since stabilized since I started finasteride, and all of a sudden my right is worsening despite being on finasteride. Is this a normal effect of the medicaiton? I heard there was a shedding phase, or am I too long in right now in order to be experiencing this.. does this mean finasteride is not really working for me?
I've included some pics.. The last one is my right temple 1 year ago before I had any problems.
BONUS: What Norwood would you say I am?
