Success with Receding Hairline on Finasteride?

I was pretty hopeful about taking Propecia to help stop my receding hairline (I'm a Norwood 2, I guess, and this time last year my hairline was fine), but it seems like there are a lot of guys on this forum who haven't had success with it for that. I know finasteride was only tested on the vertex and crown area, but I bought Propecia because I'd heard that it WAS effective for the hairline.

Any guys on here who wouldn't mind to share their experiences with taking finasteride and fighting off the recession of their hairline? I'm still kind of torn about whether or not to take it, because why would I do that if it's most likely not going to work?

I'm not losing hair at the vertex or crown, by the way.

Yes, it works, but slowly. My temples started coming back. I have loads of colourless hair all over my temples and it slowly turns black from month to month.

What level of hairloss did you have when you first started taking Propecia? And how many months was it before you noticed regrowth on your temples? Thanks!

It didn't regrow hair for me, but it slowed it down DRASTICALLY. I've had less hair loss in the last 3 years than I did in the 6 months before I decided to jump on finasteride.
