Hey all, recently I've been going through shedding like crazy, and I haven't taken any meds, or rogaine, went to see a dermatologist and he said he see's no sign of male pattern baldness despite the left of my hairline receding pretty badly, he didn't seem to want to take this into account. How can a specialist in hair, skin and nail not notice things like slight recession and scalp visibility when its obvious? What do they check for to completely rule out male pattern baldness?
So for the past 3-4 months I have been letting my hair grow on its own accord, whilst still taking care of it, and the left hand side of my hair is a fair bit longer than the right, is there an explanation for this? Temples seem to have taken a pretty big hit too.
I will post pictures tomorrow when I get a UK adapter for my US camera, and you can assess for yourself!
Seems that just behind the hairline I can see skin, but not the actual hairline itself (aside from the left hand side)
Have any of you experienced this? would be interested to know

This experience has been weird, depressing sometimes, and then uplifting to know that others are going through the same thing and are very willing to share information. Very nice to be a part of the learning cycle that comes with this dreaded experience!
