Just keep them at room temperature and in a dark place. You can keep them in what ever you like. Smelly sock, a cleaned out pill container or even your lunch box. But I would not recommend putting then down near you nuts.
yes there is a specific container that we all use, it is in Zurich (Switzerland) we all send our pills there to be stored and they are posted back on a daily basis, anywhere else would be considered unsafe
