Lets say I am not going to go past a Norwood 2 and just want to keep a perfect teenage hair line and not get a mature hair line at all because I like a Norwood 0 better. What are my options basically just propecia and hope it works?

As far as we can tell the mature hairline is not caused by androgens, so there is nothing you can do. Whether you stay juvenile hairline or go to NW1 or NW2 (or even NW3) is 100% up to genetics, no amount of androgen blocking will prevent it.

If its not androgen related then what does cause it? Because I have seen many guys that have perfect teenage hairlines at 35 so it must be something. I would consider it hair loss. A Norwood 7 could be thought of as a hair line that matured farther then most other men?

There are a decent number of guys with no mature hairline, but most do have it.

Probably 40-50% of women have a "mature" hairline too if you look closely. The corners are NW1-ish.

Why do some women and men not get mature hair lines then? It all just seems like hair loss to me no matter what you call it. A mature hair line to me sounds like an excuse to ignore some hair loss in my opinion.

For me a 'mature hairline' is when a man develops a Dracula-style widows peak relatively early, but the hairline remains stable in this position for the next 20 years.

Or maybe a slight bit of temple recession, that you often see guys develop in their 30s/40s.

You could call it "hairloss" but it's stable and shows no sign of progression, unlike mine.
